//Who do I want to be?//
The person who doesn’t have time for nothing, trapped into a schedule of work, home, chores, and complain all the time.
Or the person who does a break goes out for a walk and come back with a smile, even having the laundry to be done

Yesterday I decided to be the hero of my smile. So I went for a walk, and left the laundry behind, during the time I had between meetings.

I want to be this mom who smiles to my children. And it is not stressed all the time.

I feel it is harder since I’m at home 100% of the time.
So these little actions are my braveness of the day. But it is about who I want to be.

I am talking about this so much. But I feel it is such powerful exercise. And it gets natural to you over time.

This is the title of chapter 10 of the book Believe It by @jamiekernlima.

It resonates so much with me, as a people pleaser, I consider a reward the compliments from others, I normally care what people have to say about me.
It takes some reflection time to make a decision in each direction I should go, and recognize if it is only because I’m looking for external reassurance of myself or if I need to strength my attitude and follow my truth.

This is why I love so much personal development content, as I get inspired to allow myself speaking up and choose being brave over being liked.

This week's blogpost is about choosing your attitude through the exercise of perspective.
I like to call How to be the hero of your own story exercise.
This tool is about telling the story of the situation you live in and writing it down with two perspectives.
1- As if you were the Victim of the story
2- As if you were the Hero of the story.

It is good to write and let go of the Victim’s feelings inside of you. It is like venting, tell everything you feel, blame everyone, ask for pity, call bad luck, everything, seriously you will feel better.
Then write the story as you were the Hero, a person with feelings, with fears and doubts, but with the courage to find a solution and figure it out.

After this exercise, you will have the clarity needed to be confident to act as a HERO.

I hope it helps to feel you have control of your life and live like a HERO.

It is important to have some time to reflect and have time to clear some ideas that are not in the right place.

I call this work on positivity or in a positive attitude.
Today after a meeting, which put me in a high stress feeling, I went for a walk, I sat down for a while outdoors and contemplate the nature around me... I acknowledge my feelings and try to categorize what I can control and what I cannot control.
The things I control should be the focus.

I am telling you...This exercise feels more natural overtime. So please acknowledge your feelings and take some time to cool down before you decide what to do.

Remember your attitude is the one thing you can control.

We can’t follow all of them... sometimes we miss the pj day which I love, as I don’t need to think about what she wants to put on and what I think she should dress... well 3 years old!!💗💗

But today was the crazy hair day!
Well normally her hair is crazy... does this crazy hair, which gave me a lot of work, look so cute?

One of the hacks to keep your mind in a positive state is keeping the future alive.

What does that mean?

This means keeping an eye on the future to keep the purpose of your life.

Adversity moments and unexpected situations may change the direction of the initial plan. Still, the desire to look forward to something will come with the power of dreaming, the willingness to build a plan for the future.

Build a vision for the future to generate positive energy for your present!

Bad moments don’t mean you are unhappy.

Lack of vision doesn’t give you purpose.

Keep dreaming even when you think you can’t.

If it is not the long term future, plan the short term future.

You have to have something to look forward to when you wake up in the morning!

DREAM + BELIEVE + PLAN = HAPPINESS

I feel I’m not a low confidence person... until I’m in a situation of work and I listen step up! Don’t be afraid...

Immediately after I say, no way... it’s ok!
It’s just because it is not important to me...

I freeze, and I realize I need to face my fears!
I need to step up.

And suddenly came to my mind, the picture with the fearless girl in NYC with my daughter, 2 years ago, when I told her, please always step up. Speak up.

So taking very serious the words I said back then, I realized there will be always moments you will need to make the decision to step up and remember you are strong but not fearless.
Brave to take the decision to face your fears. Asking for help, strategize, and take action.

And this will make you a fearless girl!

//I’m a mom of a teenager//

Yesterday we were watching a movie of high school drama type, and just realized I have a teenager at home who is not socializing with other teenagers for real.

They do FaceTime.
They are growing without live interactions.

Those years are too important to be lived at home.
No practice, no busy weekends, no birthday parties, no sleepover, no dance nights, no recess, no lunch in the canteen.
Wow!! There is no drama... live drama!

Not sure what the impact of this pandemic will have in our teenagers, our future leaders. Can’t imagine.
It is different from our experience.
